Job Description Business Support & Development Specialist As part of Distribution Services, Agency & FA team, you will be a valuable key driver in representing Financial Advisory on supporting the Agency and Manulife FA. This role specializes on Agency’s and Manulife FA’s business support functions, system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s work processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Business Support Work closely with stakeholders on administering of termination and orphan policies assignment Responsible for the on-going fit and proper monitoring of agents through administration of change of particular, outside business activity, credit/litigation monitoring, insolvency search and annual declaration exercise Responsible for preparation of reference checks information to external party Update and maintain internal Do-No-Call register Handle agency’s enquiries relating to all aspect of business support functions Regular review of workflows, processes and procedures 2) Risk Management, Audit & Ongoing Compliance Ensure that all risk and controls arising from day-to-day operation are duly addressed and documented, including full compliance to Manulife’s policies, and obligations/commitments to regulatory bodies Facilitates business and regulatory audits Regular update of workflow processes and standard operating procedures 3) Innovation & Strategy Execution Active involvement in the continuous review on process improvement, transformation and digitization of department’s processes Support in system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing. This will include determining scope of system enhancement, preparing user requirements and test plans. Support in any other projects and/or task as and when assigned REQUIREMENT Diploma or Degree from any recognized University Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in insurance industry Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Excel, MS Word & MS Powerpoint Great people skills; ability to build good rapport with different stakeholders Good written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills Independent and able to work without supervision Able to multi-task and work effectively with tight deadlines If you are ready to unleash your potential, it’s time to start your career with Manulife/John Hancock.
