Job Description

Singapore Permanent Ingredion is hiring a Regional Strategic Marketing Manager who is responsible for driving growth and development of the Starch-based Texturizer (SBT) Growth Platform. They will develop innovation opportunities, develop the business cases and oversee projects through the regional Stage-Gate process. They will ensure strategy and process development to launch new products and track their progress, as well as develop sales and go-to-market tools. They will assist with global & regional portfolio optimization efforts to provide segment and product focus for the platform. They will work in collaboration with the regional growth platform teams, and will partner with the Marketing Communications Manager and our regional agency to develop and implement the regional marketing communications programs in support of their business area, provide thought leadership, and alignment with the regional marketing teams. As a Regional Strategic Marketing Manager , your responsibilities will include: Under the leadership of the Senior Director, and in coordination with the global and regional teams, develops and executes the Platform growth plans & strategy Drives new regional programs and related Innovation Promise projects to deliver the Innovation Promise targets for the APAC Regional Growth Platform Oversees the development of growth plans in the countries, coordinating and implementing the launch of the next generation of SBT solutions, monitoring key metrics and milestones, providing support to the regions to remove obstacles Guides the technical and innovation regional programs for the Growth Platform In close collaboration with the regions, optimize the current SBT Platform product portfolio, target key growth segments, support new product launches and drive cost optimization projects as part of the SBT Affordability approach. Provide a consolidated view of the Platform performance working closely with regions to ensure alignment of strategic targets and plans Identifies new innovation project ideas in support of the Growth Platform; develop the business cases and project documentation and act as the Project Business Owner. Develop and deliver launch plans for new products; track progress in the countries and in the marketplace. Engage with the local marketing teams to ensure good alignment with the other launch programs Monitors competitor landscape closely and uses insight to inform regional strategy and action plans Conducts regular competitive research on other related products and companies, and centralize a regional competitive intelligence view In collaboration with Regional Marketing Communications and agencies, develop and support the implementation of the Marketing Communications plan for the Regional Growth Platform, including updating & maintaining thought leadership programs for SBT. Ensure all relevant marketing collateral is up to date, and maintain digital content Leverage the market research programs in the regions, for the benefit of the regional platform. Regularly travel to regions to directly engage teams and partners to drive projects and reach alignment. Serve as resource for the regions in trouble shooting issues and challenges impeding delivery of objectives. The Strategic Marketing Manager position is well-suited for you if you: Have strong skills in marketing and interest in keeping up to date with the latest food industry trends & developments and want to further develop the knowledge, understanding and competency in marketing within the organization Excellent team player and collaborator while operating independently on initiatives Establishes high performance goals and standards Able to both drive and support major programs Able to withstand pressure during “high stress” projects Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator Shares knowledge and expertise to progress both country / regional as well as wider business goals Qualified candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in technical and/or marketing field. MBA preferred. At least 5 years previous experience in a marketing or related role in an regional environment Experience in understanding food market trends and communicating industry insight both internally and externally. Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into tangible business plans and actions. Demonstrated ability to manage network / matrix organizations to achieve business objectives. Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment Strong project management skills Strong presentation skills Flexible, responsive and works well on own initiative
