Your responsibilities and tasks:
ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE / SENIOR ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
This role reports to the Accountants in Singapore with matrix reporting to the Finance Manager.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of monthly financial reports
Prepare and post monthly journals
Review bank reconciliation prepared by Accenture
Review month-end closing schedules prepared by Accenture
Assist in the preparation of various monthly Group Report (CORE Report, TCR, APR, Disclosure Package, Accounts Receivables Review etc)
Performs monthly IC reconciliation, and yearly Intercompany-Charging
Ensure suppliers’ invoices are recorded timely and correctly in SAP by SSC-Accenture
Monitor the GRIV listing regularly, and follow up to close the GRIV listing without delay
Review the WIP listing monthly and work with SAP IT business owner in Germany and local process owners to identify errors in sale orders
Coordinate cycle count and year end stock-take
Review existing supply chain process and improve on the timeliness and efficiency of between goods receipt and invoices postings by SSC-Accenture
Coordinate collection process
Identification of overdue debtors, coordinate with process owners for agreement to generate the demand letters using MS Word mail merge function
Quarterly GST Returns
Review and prepare GST Returns
Preparation of Financial Statements for two (2) dormant Companies
Maintain full set accounts for two (2) dormant Companies with assistance from SSC-Accenture.
Shared Service Center (SSC)
Service level monitoring on external SSC Accenture
Ad-hoc Special Tasks/Projects
Perform any other special assignment and projects
Your profile and qualifications:
Accounting graduate from a good university, or ACCA, with at least 3 to 5 years of proven experience, or Diploma in Accounting from local polytechnics having at least 8 years of solid accounting background in MNC environment.
Must have very good working knowledge of SAP FICO and MM (inventory management -> goods movement)
Candidate with SAP knowledge is preferred, otherwise he/her should have good working experience with any established ERP system
Good understanding of IFRS accounting standards
Working experience in an MNC engineering or construction company preferred
Good organisation skills due to the need to work in a relatively fast paced MNC environment
Well verse in stock accounting; ability to identify issues related to stock accounting, provide recommendations for immediate resolution and prevention measures to avoid repeat of issues
Plans and organise own tasks effectively to ensure that work is completed on time and to the require standard.
Good communication skills to effectively manage the tasks with internal colleagues and external service provider
A self-starter with the ability to understand the collection process and the various stakeholders in the process. With the aim of assisting the company to reduce overdue receivables in a team relationship
Well verse in Singapore GST standards; able to understand the dynamic of GST operations in a MNC environment with selling, engineering and cross border transactions
Organise work, sets priorities, and determines resources requirements; determines necessary sequence of activities needed to achieve goals.
Well-developed organisational knowledge, knows how to get things done, understands cultures of organisations, understands rationale behind policies, procedures and practises
