Solution Architect Leader, Asia Pacific
Leads team of 15+ Solution Architects across Asia Pacific in technical training, certification planning, career development, and global alignment.
Keeps certification program evergreen, and work to evolve based on specific needs of Emerson, our customers, and the Solution Architects organization.
Manages demand of Solution Architects, create back-up plans, and assign responsibilities around Critical Sites, Greenfield Project Pursuits, and Digital Transformation engagements.
Inspires organization to explore new ways of delivering Digital Transformation through application of technology, partnerships, and overall knowledge of industry pains.
Maintains tight collaboration with global Plantweb Solution Architect teams to ensure consistency of the organization, and capture best practices across all of Emerson.
Lead the ongoing development of both Pune, India and Xi’an, China to be world-class support organizations in support of Plantweb projects
Solution Architecture, Business/IT/OT Alignment, Business Architecture, Applications Architecture, SOA, Data Architecture, Performance Engineering, Systems Integration, including:
Understands, advocates, augments principles of IT/OT strategies.
Understands enterprise business drivers to determine business information and technical architecture requirements.
Understands life-cycle implementation of enterprise applications and associated industry (IT) standards.
Promotes recommended solutions, their outcomes, and ongoing results.
Analyzes and defines Business Benefits from introduction of specific new technologies.
Leads the creation of IT/OT strategies that are viable and integrated with business strategies.
Designs and leads the solutions implementation roadmap.
Consults on sales, technical, and execution strategies for implementing IIOT solutions.
Identifies organizational skills, structures, processes, cultural matters and financial impact of the new solution introduction.
Develops content (white papers, methodologies, articles, internal training etc.).
Solution and product feedback to EMR Business Units.
Solution Center Leader, Asia Pacific
Creates and drives standards of excellence in all customer engagements at the Emerson Solution Centers in Asia Pacific.
Aligns messaging for all Solution Centers in Asia Pacific to showcase Emerson’s Path to Top Quartile; enabled by both Operational Certainty and Project Certainty.
Designs a world-class experience from the moment of first inquiry, to full Solution Center experience, to timely and professional follow-up to all customer visits.
Presents to customers on Digital Transformation topics with the breadth of Emerson’s Automation Solutions portfolio in all served industries.
Conducts Operational Certainty Discovery Session to uncover pains.
Collaborates with other Emerson Solution Centers globally to ensure knowledge sharing, create a best-in-class experience, and create the ability to connect virtually between centers.
Leads the Solution Center managers across Asia Pacific to establish a world-class level of customer engagement, on a consistent level, and with aligned messaging.
Liaises with Emerson Business Units, IT and Infrastructure, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless and repeatable display of integrated solutions, visualization, and connecting to external offices and Solution Centers.
Develops and maintains a roster of solution demos and support personnel that can be interchangeably called on depending on customer expectations and goals.
Builds a robust process with up-to-date documentation on all solutions to simplify backup support and coverage when necessary.
Manages updates, patches, and license renewal for all software and hardware.
Manages certifications of plant equipment such as pressure vessels.
Designs and maintain dashboards and implement data collection best practices to identify utilization, and seek constant areas of improvement across the regions
Owns operating budget and lead responsibility over prioritization of projects, upgrades, maintenance, and any additional work relevant to the Solution Centers.
Ensures compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not perform any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; report unsafe working conditions and provide suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed.
Degree or Diploma in Engineering with consideration of backgrounds and strong communications experience.
At least 10 years of relative professional experience
Excellent analytical, technical, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical and industry knowledge such as process equipment, unit processes, and digital technologies.
Communicates effectively, manages ambiguity, collaborates, and cultivates innovation.
Excellent planning abilities and priority management, and experience in managing a budget.
Excellent knowledge of the components of Integrated Operations technical architecture.
Appreciation of or ability to acquire working knowledge of the following technologies: Networking, Communications and Cybersecurity, Platforms and non-EMR Key Applications, Workflow implementation + Mobility Tools, AMS, Corrosion, etc.
