This position will be primarily responsible for engaging cross-functional business partners on day to day activities, assessing risks across key business processes and ultimately implementing necessary controls in order to mitigate risk. This role requires effective communication and analytical skills to drive execution surrounding risk management in a global environment. Applicant must have the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Job Description: Primary Job Responsibilities: Provide guidance to business partners relating to the development of controls for critical business processes to mitigate compliance/operational risk Provide ongoing direction and support of business unit’s issue management and remediation efforts Support functional areas with internal audits, regulatory exams, second line reviews as well as any additional governance Partner with GGRC to complete annual risk assessments Manage FLOD oversight of open risks and issues, assessing the risk and bringing forth to appropriate key stakeholders in partnership with compliance Act as a liaison for a multitude of projects across the FLOD Team; engaging key partners across all areas of the organization Provide reporting and presentations for senior leaders that communicate appropriate project or program level updates Make informed decisions and actions to control/manage risk exposure Review end to end processes of current issues to identify areas of weakness in need of stronger controls and implement appropriate corrective action to resolve Design and implement programs that will align business processes with strategic goals to create efficiencies Collaborate with appropriate groups to escalate, resolve and report issues Effectively manage business critical processes with appropriate retention and audit trails Competencies: Superior interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills, coupled with the ability to build relationships with peers and business support partners Working experience in business and functional requirement gathering and documentation Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in gathering requirements and identifying areas of improvement Results-oriented individual with ability to identify dependencies and leverage multiple sources of information at once Ability to quickly assess the impact of an issue, engage key partners and facilitate a solution Must be able to own and see tasks through to completion without significant guidance Strong written, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and oral communications skills Comfortable with balancing multiple, competing priorities and changes in scope / direction interact successfully at all levels of the company, from individual contributors to executive management.
